About Me

I can remember having an interest in art even before I could write my name. I always knew somehow, some way, art would always be a part of my life. I studied graphic design at Platt College in San Francisco and a whole world opened up to me. I absolutely love graphic design.
I feel very fortunate as I started getting jobs while I was still in school. I feel even more fortunate with the successes I have achieved. Both of the companies I worked for – a toy company and sportswear company – I was promoted to Art Director.
After a vacation to the Caribbean in the late 90's, the lure of eternal sunshine and warm turquoise waters grabbed my heart and soul and I knew it was inevitable that a Caribbean island was going to be my home. So I packed up my life and left the Bay Area and made St. Thomas my home where I started my freelance graphic design business.
My graphic clients range in size and scope and include restaurants, liquor distributors, hotels, dentists and realtors, as well as the sole proprietorship business. Several years ago I decided to split my time between the Bay Area and St. Thomas and I’m very lucky to be able to work remotely.
It wasn’t until hurricanes Irma and Maria devastated the Virgin Islands that graphic work was put on hold. Since I had extra time I decided to take a class in clay sculpture which is something I've always wanted to do. This is where I feel another artistic door opened up and I found that my true passion as an artist was working in clay. I find that clay has no boundaries or limits and enables me to transform any creation to come to life.
I am drawn to fun whimsical art and have always been fascinated with faces and often incorporate a face into my work. I love bold colors and interesting shapes which I combine to create art that will hopefully bring a smile and a moment of joy into peoples lives. My style is playful, organic and fun. I hope you enjoy viewing my art.
